Our History

Pioneers of Prayer.

In August 2013, leaders from across the nation gathered in St. Louis, Missouri, at the Gateway House of Prayer, for a strategic time of instruction and intercession. Led by Lou Engle, the leaders were challenged to their core to contend for union and relationship, beyond just events and conferences. What followed was heaven downloading a divine blueprint to Darrian Summerville that contained a new model of prayer called the Moravian Watch (MWatch). Dean Briggs became the architect who helped put the prophetic puzzle pieces together.

The Moravian Watch began as a quietly field-tested research and development prayer endeavor for its first two-and-a-half-years. After overcoming many technological hurdles, the Moravian Watch officially launched as a ministry in April of 2016 at Lou Engle’s AzusaNOW gathering in Pasadena, California. Moravian Watch’s purpose is to unite leaders around video-connected prayer for cities, families, communities and nations.

Since our launch, we have established a strong base of trained intercessors across the nation and beyond, who’ve helped pioneer a global online community of prayer in the night. Basically, we are leveraging technology for the purpose of creating geographically diverse, local prayer groups. This in turn has fostered new regional prayer networks and leaders. In the long term, we believe a new form of highly focusable, 24/7, cooperative prayer will emerge, carrying the legacy of the early Moravians to a new generation.

MWatch is pleased to announce a new initiative called Porch & Altar, which will serve as our missional arm to practically impact the nation and culture.
